nhibernate and lookup tables as enums
Posted: 31 May 08 2:05 AM
Hi there,
One of the last things i need to get working before i can say that Genwise is the one for me is some enum's of some sort.  Forgive me, as i'm really new to ORM and nhibernate and i'm completeing a pretty intense week =)

basically I have classes with relationships over to a common lookup table.  LookId, LookupDesc.  So let's say we have a main class of Building, and lookup table of type.  The types defined in the database are 1,house, and 2,condo.  I would like to be able to do building.type and see an enum of these types.

I've found a post http://www.lostechies.com/blogs/sean_chambers/archive/2008/04/06/mapping-an-collection-of-enums-with-nhibernate.aspx that shows how to accomplish this by editing the hbm file, but i was wondering of Genwise has facilities for this in place already?

thanks!
