Activating through a proxy

You can Activate GenWise while your computer is connected to the internet through a proxy server. Clicking the Proxy Settings button of the GenWise Activation Dialog opens the Proxy Settings Dialog. Enter information about your proxy settings here. If you do not know these settings, contact your system administrator.

Without the required proxy information, activation through a proxy cannot succeed. Trying to activate GenWise through a proxy without using the activation dialog's proxy settings results in the following error:

The request failed with HTTP status 407: Proxy Authentication Required.

 

After entering the right proxy information, click OK, and finish the activation procedure as described in Activating GenWise. Notice that Host and Port number are required, while Username and Password are optional.
