Release Notes Beta3 Patch (July 19, 2006)
The B3-patch fixes some issues that we thought were important enough to release to you. Also one big feature that did not make it in the previous release has been aded. (better navigation/menu support). The download location is the same as in the mail you received for Beta 3.
Fixes
 | "Edit Properties" option add in webform designer (right mouse on selected control). |
| Webform designer control selection now tracks the control selection inside the propertygrid toolwindow. (in property window) |
| Default menu orientation is now horizontal to save screen content space. |
| Autocalculated properties did not function correctly when confirmation was turned off in the global options. |
| Item creation by ASP.NET template wizard now up to speed again (was very slow). Speed of wizard increased by factor 3-5. |
| Some defaults in wizard changed. |
| Deleting the masterpage and adding it later again would cause errors. |
| Go to global template function in template options screen now working correctly.. |
| Exception when designing the masterpage for the second time or from a loaded ASP.NET app. |
| Image columns are now displayed correctly again inside the browse (this was a regression). |
| Several textual changes. |
Enhancements
Several improvements in the menu designer of navigation template.
In short:
| Items can be set to top level menu items.(leave group text empty) |
| Submenus can be created by naming groups with a seperator (eg Browses/Security) |
| Menu now can be set to horizontal, but CSS contains both the code for horizontal and vertical menu. Horizontal is standard. |
| Navigation editor extended and works now to edit menu in one place (See Sitemap item template options) |
