If you get the following error message while GenWise Studio is starting up, this means that GenWiseConfig.xml is corrupted. Probably GenWiseConfig.xml is corrupted. Recommended Action: Close GenWise and delete this file. Value is null for Key=[key]
The problem can be fixed by closing GenWise Studio, locating and deleting GenWiseConfig.xml, and then restarting GenWise Studio. GenWiseConfig.xml is located in a subdirectory of the Windows Local Application Data special folder. On a computer with a typical English Windows setup, the path of the Local Application Data folder is: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data
A typical scenario that causes corruption of the GenWiseConfig.xml file is being logged on twice with the same user account to a computer during installation of GenWise. This can happen easily if GenWise is installed on a server machine. The administrator account is logged on to the server itself during installation, if the same administrator account is logged on to the server from another computer, the corruption of GenWiseConfig.xml will result.
