Global Configuration is an important feature of the GenWise Template System. It allows default values to be set for template options. These global default values can be overridden at the individual template level.
Global Template Configuration is made available as a separate tab on Project Options Pages. There are several ways to open it from the Project Explorer:
 | Double click the project node in the Project Explorer, then click the Template Configuration tab. |
| Double click the Global Templates node in the Project Explorer. |
| Double click one of the template types listed under the Global Templates node in the Project Explorer. |
| Double click the Extension Templates node in the Project Explorer. |
| Double click one of the templates listed under the Extension Templates in the Project Explorer. |
Example: in the screenshot below the Global Template Configuration tab of a BO-Layer project has been opened, the global options of the Table Template are activated.
