Every GenWise project has a Project Options Page with multiple tabs containing all the project settings. The contents of the page are dependent on the type of project. There are three ways of opening it from the Project Explorer:

| Right-clicking the project node and choosing Edit from its context menu. |
| Double clicking one of the items in the Global Templates node |
Global Template Configuration
An important tab that is present on every Project Options Page is the Template Configuration tab, which gives access to the Global Template Configuration. In the GenWise Template System every template has global options that apply to all template instances unless they are overridden.
In the Project Explorer, various child nodes of the project node act as shortcuts to the Project Options Page tab containing the Global Template Configuration:

| The Global Templates node has child nodes for all template types used in the project. Use these nodes for direct access to the global configuration of specific template types. |
