Assessments

Define the right work before implementation begins.

A clear direction is useful. A practical plan makes it actionable.

Genwise offers two paid assessment services for accounting firms. A Rapid Assessment turns a focused need into an implementation roadmap. An Efficiency Assessment investigates broader operating challenges and establishes what to address first.

For either engagement, we agree the scope, fee, required inputs and timing before assessment work begins.

Choose the depth your firm needs.

    Rapid Assessment

You know the general direction. You need a clear plan for the work.

Your firm may already use capable software and have a reasonable understanding of what needs improvement. The remaining questions are practical: What should change? What is included? In what order? How long might it take, and what will it cost?

A Rapid Assessment focuses on an agreed implementation or optimization need. Through targeted review and a small number of working meetings, we develop a Firm Roadmap covering the proposed scope, responsibilities, timeline and implementation investment.

    Best suited to firms that:

    • Have a defined problem or improvement goal.
    • Want to optimize existing software or implement a selected solution.
    • Need clarity on scope and cost before committing to implementation.

    Efficiency Assessment

Several things need attention. You need to understand what matters most.

When challenges span leadership, team capacity, workflows, technology or client experience, a broader investigation can reveal how those issues connect.

An Efficiency Assessment brings together agreed firm information, leadership and team perspectives, and workflow evidence. We assess the eight pillars of firm efficiency and develop a prioritized roadmap grounded in the findings.

    Best suited to firms that:

    • Have competing priorities or recurring problems without a clear cause.
    • Need to understand how issues across the firm affect one another.
    • Want a broader basis for deciding where to invest time and resources.

Two paid services. Different depth and scope.

    Starting point

    Rapid Assessment
A focused need and a general direction
    Efficiency Assessment
    Broader challenges or uncertain priorities

    Investigation

    Rapid Assessment
Targeted review of the agreed workflow, systems or project
    Efficiency Assessment
Broader evidence across the eight pillars

    Participation

    Rapid Assessment
Focused working meetings and selected materials
    Efficiency Assessment
Leadership and team input, agreed documents and working sessions

    Primary output

    Rapid Assessment
A focused Firm Roadmap for implementation or optimization
    Efficiency Assessment
An operating diagnosis and prioritized, phased Firm Roadmap

    Fee and timing

    Rapid Assessment
    Agreed before work begins
    Efficiency Assessment
    Agreed before work begins

Both are paid engagements. Neither automatically includes implementation or ongoing support.

The roadmap is part of the work.

Defining a useful scope takes more than a sales conversation. It requires reviewing the current setup, identifying dependencies, distinguishing symptoms from causes, and deciding what a successful implementation should include.

That analysis is the assessment deliverable. It gives your firm a practical basis for deciding what to do next.

The roadmap identifies proposed work, responsibilities, sequencing, timing and implementation investment. Estimates include relevant assumptions and unresolved questions; they are not an unconditional implementation quote.

    What happens next?

    1. Confirm the fit

An introductory conversation helps us understand your broad objectives and recommend an appropriate starting point. It does not include a tailored Firm Roadmap or detailed implementation design.

    2. Agree the assessment

We confirm the paid scope, fee, required inputs, participants, deliverables and timing before assessment work begins.

    3. Review the findings and roadmap

We walk through the proposed work, priorities, assumptions and decisions with your team.

    4. Decide whether to implement

If you want Genwise to carry out the work, implementation is scoped and agreed separately. Purchasing an assessment does not commit you to an implementation engagement.

Already have a defined implementation scope?

A full Efficiency Assessment is not required for every project.

If the available information is sufficient to define the work, we can discuss direct implementation. If further investigation is needed to establish the scope, timeline and investment, we agree that discovery as a paid assessment before proceeding.

    Find the right starting point.

Tell us what your firm wants to improve and what you already know. We’ll discuss whether a Rapid Assessment, Efficiency Assessment or direct implementation is the appropriate next step.

Submitting an inquiry does not book an assessment or commit your firm to an engagement. Assessment scope and fees are agreed before work begins.
