Rapid Assessment

Turn a clear direction into a practical implementation plan.

You have a general understanding of what your firm needs. Before implementation begins, you need clarity on the scope, timeline and cost.

The Genwise Rapid Assessment is a paid, focused engagement that turns an agreed implementation or optimization need into a Firm Roadmap.

We agree the assessment scope, fee, required inputs and timing before work begins.

Your firm may already have the right software.

The opportunity is often in how the system is configured, how work moves between people, or how tools fit together.

A Rapid Assessment starts with your existing setup and the outcome you want. We identify what to retain, what needs improvement and what must be resolved before implementation can be scoped responsibly.

It can be a useful starting point when:

    • Your practice-management software is in place, but templates, intake or handoffs need improvement.
    • Your team uses different workarounds for the same process.
    • You have selected a platform and need to define the implementation.
    • You want to connect existing systems or automate a specific workflow.
    • You need to understand the proposed work and investment before approving a project.

We work across your firm’s software stack. A migration or new platform is not assumed.

Focused discovery. A useful Firm Roadmap.

    1. Agree the question we need to answer

We define the workflow, systems or implementation opportunity in scope, along with the information and participants needed.

This keeps the assessment focused and establishes what will—and will not—be investigated.

    2. Review the current setup

Through focused working meetings and targeted review, we examine how the selected process works today, where it breaks down and what the desired outcome requires.

A typical engagement is organized around an initial working meeting and a roadmap review, with analysis between them. The exact meetings and review depth are agreed for your scope.

    3. Develop the roadmap

We translate the findings into proposed work, dependencies, responsibilities, timing and implementation investment.

Where information is missing or a technical question remains unresolved, we make that visible rather than presenting an assumption as a confirmed fact.

    4. Review the plan together

We walk through the roadmap, clarify the proposed scope and identify the decisions needed before implementation can begin.

    What your firm receives

A focused Firm Roadmap that sets out:

    • The objective: what the proposed work is intended to improve.
    • The scope: recommended deliverables, boundaries and exclusions.
    • The sequence: phases, dependencies and decisions that affect the work.
    • The responsibilities: what Genwise and your firm would each need to provide.
    • The proposed timeline: anticipated sequencing and timing, subject to stated assumptions.
    • The implementation investment: estimated costs or a proposed fee where the scope supports it.
    • The acceptance criteria: how the agreed implementation would be reviewed before it is considered complete.

The roadmap is intended to support an implementation decision. Any implementation proposal identifies what is fixed, what is estimated and what requires further confirmation.

    A bounded assessment—not an open-ended project.

The Rapid Assessment covers the agreed investigation and roadmap preparation. It does not automatically include:

    • Software configuration, migration or implementation.
    • Detailed design of every workflow across the firm.
    • A comprehensive eight-pillar operating assessment.
    • Unlimited meetings, revisions or review of additional systems.
    • Ongoing support or administration.

If the investigation reveals a broader need, we discuss the additional scope before undertaking further work.

Paid planning, with implementation agreed separately.

The assessment fee pays for the agreed review, analysis, working meetings and Firm Roadmap.

We confirm the fee before work begins. If you choose to proceed with Genwise, implementation is covered by a separate scope and agreement.

You are not committing to implementation by purchasing the assessment.

Is a Rapid Assessment the right fit?

    Choose Rapid Assessment when:

You broadly know what you want to improve and need a practical plan for a focused implementation or optimization project.

    Consider Efficiency Assessment when:

The problems span several areas of the firm, priorities are unclear, or you need deeper investigation before deciding what work should happen.

    Discuss direct implementation when:

Your requirements and scope are already sufficiently defined. We’ll review whether additional paid discovery is needed before proposing the work.

Define the work before you commit to the build.

Tell us what you want to improve, which systems are involved and what you already know. We’ll discuss whether a paid Rapid Assessment is the right next step.

An inquiry does not book an assessment or commit your firm to an engagement. Scope, fees and timing are agreed before assessment work begins.
